Getting the card
Great Canadian Rewards costs nothing to get. You can apply online through the operator, or ask in person at Guest Services inside the casino. Members must be 19 or older. Anyone who is self-excluded or trespassed cannot hold a card.
Plan on carrying ID when you visit. The operator's guest code of conduct reads "We ID under 30". Guests show original, physical government-issued photo ID, and staff may ask for a second piece of ID.
Using the card on a visit
Using the card on Fisher Drive comes down to one step. On a visit, you insert it into a slot machine. The operator also offers a mobile app for the card. Keep the card with your ID so it is at hand when you sit down.
One program covers every Ontario destination the operator runs. That includes Shorelines Casino Peterborough and Shorelines Slots at Kawartha Downs, the slots room at the racetrack in Fraserville. Rewards you earn are combined and can be used at all 12 Great Canadian Rewards destinations.
Comp Dollars and food
Comp Dollars can go toward food. In Peterborough they are accepted at the casino's restaurant and bar, which serves modern casual food, and at The Buffet. Comp Dollars are also accepted at Kawartha Downs, where the Player's Lounge & Café sits on the slots floor. The lounge is 19+ and run by Kawartha Downs.
The Buffet has themed menus, needs no reservation and has special discounts for Great Canadian Rewards members. It is not one of the three Great Canadian Buffet locations with published member prices. Those are Great Blue Heron, Elements Casino Mohawk and Shorelines Casino Belleville. Hours and prices for both Peterborough spots are not published, so check with the casino first.
Keeping the card in its place
A loyalty card is a convenience, not a reason to stay longer. Set the evening's spending limit before you leave home, and stop when you reach it. For a break from casinos, OLG's My PlayBreak bars entry to any Ontario casino for 3 or 6 months, or 1 to 5 years. The break cannot be cut short. To enrol, call the OLG Support Centre at 1-800-387-0098, ask staff at the casino or see a PlaySmart Centre coordinator.
